To connect through Genius Checkout's Powertranz module, the approved account must issue Powertranz/FAC-compatible credentials. Confirm the processor because BAC also operates other payment products.

Get written confirmation of the gateway
Ask BAC whether the merchant profile is processed by Powertranz/FAC, then collect the mode, Merchant ID, test and live passwords, enabled currencies, and settlement arrangement. HPP requires PageSet and PageName. Direct tokenization and recurring use require explicit permission.
Also document 3-D Secure, full and partial refunds, authorization/capture, void, and the technical-support route. Do not put a BAC-native credential into a Powertranz configuration unless BAC confirms compatibility.
Decide when a customer should pay
A tour may need date confirmation. A hotel may collect a deposit. A retailer may charge immediately. A professional service may issue an invoice. The selling tool should reflect that:
- WooCommerce or Ecwid for product and package checkout.
- HighLevel for appointments, funnels, and sales follow-up.
- Payment links and QR codes for confirmed bookings and invoices.
- A supported API integration for an existing reservation or commerce platform.
Every retry, balance, or renewal needs a new payment transaction, even when it relates to the same booking.
Keep NIO and USD distinct
Nicaragua's local currency is NIO, while visitor or export prices may use USD. BAC must confirm the transaction and settlement configuration. Show the currency code at every stage and test each approved currency independently.
Test the hosted or direct path
For HPP, verify top-level browser launch, buyer cancellation, Back, and return to the right order. For Direct, verify 3-D Secure and ensure card data never enters merchant logs. For both, test approval, decline, retry, duplicate callback, refund, and interrupted return.
If the business plans a recurring charge, test consent, token creation, first renewal, failure, and payment-method update.
