Prepare the merchant application around the real operation
Republic Bank may need to understand the owners, website, products, expected values, delivery method, countries served, refund policy, and fraud controls. A spice or craft exporter should explain fulfilment and shipping evidence. A guesthouse should explain deposits and cancellations. A school or training provider should explain what the fee covers and whether it repeats.
Ask whether the approved gateway profile is Powertranz Direct or Powertranz HPP, which currencies are enabled, and which operations are permitted. Collect separate test and live credentials. For HPP, request PageSet and PageName. For saved cards or renewals, request confirmation of tokenization and recurring transactions.
Select the payment channel that removes work
A full store is valuable when buyers choose products independently. It is unnecessary friction when staff must first confirm availability or a quotation.

For HPP, test the buyer's ability to cancel and return. Do not reopen the gateway automatically after a customer backs out. For either mode, mark the order paid only after the server verifies the result.
Use a test matrix that reflects Grenadian sales
Test an XCD purchase and each other approved currency independently. For a shipped product, verify the complete order and refund trail. For accommodation, test deposit, balance, cancellation, and mobile checkout. For a course or membership, test the first payment and renewal only if tokenization has been approved.
Every retry or renewal requires a new gateway order identifier. Reusing a raw store order number can trigger a duplicate-order rejection even though the customer is making a new financial attempt.
Reconcile without keeping card data
The operations report should contain the business order, Genius Checkout transaction, receipt, gateway reference, transaction state, amount, currency, and settlement match. Staff do not need full card numbers. A brand and last four digits may be shown when the provider safely returns them.
