A Belizean business can accept online cards after obtaining an approved eCommerce merchant facility and Powertranz/FAC-compatible credentials. Powertranz's current merchant map lists Heritage Bank for Belize. Genius Checkout can then connect the account to lodging and tour websites, online stores, payment links, QR codes, CRM funnels, or existing software.
Genius Checkout keeps each approved gateway as a distinct route. The merchant activates only the services and environments provisioned for its own account.

Confirm the Heritage Bank product
Ask Heritage Bank whether the approved eCommerce profile is provisioned on Powertranz/FAC. Request Direct or HPP mode, separate test and live credentials, approved currencies, settlement, 3-D Secure, refunds, and support contacts.
HPP needs the exact PageSet and PageName. A business that needs later balances or repeat charges should ask whether Direct tokenization and merchant-initiated transactions are available. The Powertranz map relationship does not make every Heritage Bank digital product compatible with the same credentials.
Choose between automatic booking and confirmed payment requests
An eco-lodge with reliable room inventory may allow direct booking and payment. A private guide may first confirm weather, transport, group size, or park access and then send a link. A retailer may need a cart with shipping. A consultant may collect against an invoice.
Genius Checkout supports each path:

Do not let the payment form become a second availability system.
Make BZD and USD unambiguous
Belize's currency context includes BZD, while many visitor-facing prices are quoted in USD. Confirm which codes Heritage Bank has enabled and how settlement works. Display BZD or USD on the offer, checkout, receipt, and refund. A bare dollar sign can lead to disputes.
Pick the Powertranz mode from the approved workflow
Direct provides the integrated Genius Checkout card experience and is the route to evaluate for approved provider tokens. HPP redirects card entry to Powertranz. If a sale starts inside an embedded tool, HPP should launch at the top browser level.
In both modes, the server should verify payment. A buyer returning to a “success” URL is not enough.
Test for travel disruptions
Run a successful deposit, decline, 3-D Secure challenge, cancellation, Back navigation, retry, duplicate callback, and refund. Simulate a buyer losing connectivity after approval. Confirm the reservation can still be updated from the verified transaction.
If a later balance is required, use a new payment request or an approved tokenized transaction with a unique order ID. Never re-use the deposit ID.
